In the summer of 2018, our founder Jojo Kelly incorporated Nomad Cooks with a goal of transforming the way freelance chefs work and get paid. What started as a university side project on a Whatsapp group is now a community of over 70 chefs with unrivalled skills honed in the best cooking schools in the UK and beyond.
Our chefs work through heat, noise, constant pressure, exact timings with an obsessive passion to deliver you a creative, memorable, and extremely delicious meal, all with a smile on their face.
We’ve chosen to rename to Nomad Chefs because we are not just cooks, we are artists, we are chefs.
Our new branding will position us perfectly to better showcase our value to chefs and hosts, have greater clarity and standout in our marketing channels, while living and breathing who we are - Nomad Chefs!
Moving from Nomad Cooks to Nomad Chefs enables us to better reflect what makes our platform so valuable - the quality of the talent and the premium service we provide. Restaurant-quality food from the comfort of your own home.
Our brand refresh is designed to communicate not only the craft that goes into each special meal, but also our free-flowing nomadic spirit - popping up here, there and everywhere.
The result is a freshly picked identity created from hand-painted type, watercolour graphics and food-based inks.
We’ll be living our nomadic spirit even more in 2023, by taking Nomad Chefs on the road with more pop-ups, continuing with our One Feeds Two pledge, and turning place settings into exotic ingredients by printing on seed paper. It’s the details that matter!
